Time for Fall
We got a new car about a month ago and love it. It is a 2008 VW Rabbit. His name is Roger (how fitting hugh?) Thanks Becca. It was her idea. He has been a great car for us and gets really good mileage. Blazer season started in October and we have been very involved in it this year especially since it is our first year with season tickets! I have missed a few home games because of school but it has been a good opportunity for Kyle to takes friends or family members with him.
We have been searching for homes in the area and keeping our eyes pealed for the "perfect first house" and in this market there are a lot of them. We should be in a house within the next year which will be nice to have a yard and a puppy of course. :)
I have been with Legacy over a year now and am very happy there. The Children's Hospital is under way and has been for a couple months. It will be perfect timing for me to get out of nursing school and apply to work there. Yeah!!! It is getting into nursing school with is the hard part (at least I think it is) and then the fun part will begin.
Kyle's brother is getting married and we are very excited for him and his fiance Christine which we both adore. We have been asked to be in the wedding and are very honored. We can't wait start planning out more details.
As for now, that is pretty much what has been going on with us. I will post some pictures to accompany the post soon.

Catch Up
It has been quite a while since our last post but we have had a lot going on and its worth writing about. I will post the pics (like I always say) within the next couple days. Pictures always bring the posts to life and are able to describe things better then I can type (most of the time).
For Memorial Day we went to Sunriver with my family and spend 3 nights. We all had a blast. I was able to take some pictures of parts we have never seen and will go back to visit next time we are over there.
Last month, we had the AMA Heart Walk. Becca was able to come to town so we were able to have our whole family there in order to support our Dad and how much we appreciate the doctors at Good Sam who were able to mend him back together. His heart attack really changed the lives of our whole family in more ways then one. We are all eating healthier and living more active lifestyles right along with him and our mom. We love you Dad. We were also able to support our Grandpa who had a stroke back in March. He is a big part of our lives and we are happy to see him doing well also.
Kyle and I are moving back to Oregon to Fairview. The drive to The Dalles will be a lot shorter for him and about the same for me which will be nice. Once fall comes around, I will be going back to school and then applying to nursing schools in order to get my RN which I am very excited about doing.
Work has been going well for both of us, especially Kyle. We found out yesterday that he has been promoted to supervisor for the loan collateral team! He has only been there about 10 or 11 months so this is a great accomplishment for him. I am so proud of him for working so hard and driving so far every day. I could not have asked for a better husband and I am so happy to have him in my life. Thank you honey!
Once we move, I will be able to post again how things are going and how his promotion has worked out for him. Till then, I hope everyone has a great summer.

Back To School!!!
After 15 years of going to school non-stop and taking a 2 year break, I have decided to go back to school. I will be going to summer school and probably more in the fall before applying to nursing school soon after. I realized with the economy right now, it is hard to find a good job even with the bachelors I have now. Not to say I don't have a good job now (which I do) and I really enjoy it but I really want to pursue my career in working with obese children. I am so excited to begin this new journey. I will keep everyone posted as things move along further.
I noticed I have not blogged in a while so I figured I should probably do so. Kyle and I are still waiting to hear about the transfer to the Dalles. It would be a big move and exciting adventure for us so we will see what happeneds with that. My grandpa has recently had a stroke and is still in the hospital trying to recover from it. He has encountered a few bumps along the way but we are hoping he will be able to get back to his normal self again.
I will try to keep up with how we are doing more often. I hope everyone is doing well.

Happy Valentine's Day!
This year for Valentines Day we were able to actually spend the day together since I am not working wierd hours and weekends anymore which is great. We slept in then went and had lunch with my parents and my aunt which was nice since we had not spent much time with my parents lately and we don't see my aunt very often at all. We then did some shopping and hung out at home for a while decideing what we wanted to do. After calling a ton of places to get a reservation we decided to go down to 23rd and have dinner and then walk around and check out the shops and I was able to take some pictures which I had wanted to do for a long time. We then went back home and around 8:30 we decided to go to a new hotel by the airport and stay the night. It was such a cool place. We had a few drinks at the bar, walked around the grounds at the hotel and were able to spend the night together, sleep in and have Sunday together as well. Later that afternoon I took a nap and then we went to dinner with Kyle's family and played cards and watched the All-Star game in which the west won. Yeah!!!
All in all it was a great weekend to be together. It made me realize how thankful I am for the time we have together and how much I love my husband. It will be a year and a half on the 19th so the weekend was also a celebration for that too. We may have some hard times once in a while but we have learned to grow stronger in our marriage from those. Kyle is such a wonderful husband and I could not ask for anyone better.

Catching Up
I know I have not posted in a while but there is not much going on with us right now besides work so for most people it might be a touch boring. We are finally done with the snow and ice in our area so we are back to work and to our normal lives without having to worry about how to get somewhere or what games we are going to be playing while stuck inside with nothing to do or no place to go. Speaking of games, Circuit City is going out of business so Kyle and I wanted to check it out the other day and wound up getting Guitar Hero and some stuff for my Dad and for my PSP. It was a pretty good sale and I have to say that we have had so much fun with it so far. (It is one PS3 game that I know how to play).
We have been attending Blazer games as usual and enjoy them so matter what the outcome is even though they have been doing pretty well for the most part. After tonight's game they should be back to normal with their full squad (besides Martell Webster but we are not sure when he is coming back).
We are still working towards getting back in our own place which we have been looking forward too for quite some time. We will post about it as soon as we know of course. I will have to post some more pictures of our lives recently (especially since I have my new camera which I love). Hope all is well with everyone.

Car Brake In!!!
Today was just one of those days in which we needed to get out of our house since we have been pretty much snowed in for a week. I have not worked in over a week because of the weather so it seems like an eternity. Anyways, we decided to try and drive to the gym which was a sucess and it was nice to get out. We had a nice workout and decided since we were out we wanted to get some dinner and enjoy it while we can. We ate at Baja Fresh and when we came out our car had been broken into on the passenger side right where I sit. My yoga bag (which I take everytime I go to the gym whether it was for yoga class or not) was gone. In it was my keys, cell phone, ipod and my yoga mat of course which I had just gotten about a month ago. The window is smashed and there is glass all over the passenger side of the car. We have spent the last hour or so looking for quotes and how to get a new cell phone without having to pay an arm and a leg. I just thought I would share my frustration and for some reason it makes me feel better. Nice holiday time hugh?

Snowed In with my new Camera!!!
I know as long as I have lived here we have never had a snow day like this (or a snow week I should say). Last week it started to snow on Sunday and I didn't get to go to work all week since the weather was mild and we didn't have any of our patients coming in. That means I was stuck here at home with nothing to do but watch TLC and go to the gym, which I did only 3 times. Anyway, it is now the next Sunday and I have been off work for 10 days or so and I really miss work. With the looks of things now, I will not be going all week until things get better especially since my car is stuck in a foot plus of snow and ice. We missed the Hill Family Christmas today and it was hard not going. We will make it up by staying over at my parents on Christmas Eve to spend more time with the family we missed.
For my Christmas gift for probably the rest of my life I got a Nikon D60 camera which I have wanted for a long time and didn't think I would be able to get until it finally went on big time sale at Costco and we picked it up on Friday night. Thank goodness we did it then because as soon as Saturday morning hit, there was snow covering the streets and we could not go anywhere which means we are really snowed in!!! I have been taking a lot of pics with it though so I figured I would post some of my favorites.
